Eligibility Criteria

• Secondary School Examination pass certificate of 10th standard having passed in Mathematics and English (having been studied as compulsory or elective subjects) conducted by any recognized Board of School Education by the Government of India /State Governments/ Union Territories in India shall be a mandatory educational qualification for all approved categories of GDS.
• The applicant should have studied the local language i.e. (Name of Local language) at least up to Secondary standard [as compulsory or elective subjects.
• Other Qualification: Knowledge of Computers, Knowledge of Cycling, and Adequate means of Livelihood.

• General / OBC : 100/-
• SC / ST / PH : 0/- (Nill)
• All Category Female : 0/- (Exempted)
• Pay the Exam Fee Through India Post E Challan Submit at Nearest Head Post Office / GPO

• Minimum  Age : 18 Years.
• Maximum Age : 40 Years.
• Age Relaxation Extra as per India Post GDS Recruitment Rules Schedule January 2025.

Documents Required

• Matriculation or its equivalent from a recognised board for skilled trades on orbefore closing date of receipt of online Application Form. (i.e. Barber, Boot Maker / Cobbler, Tailor, Cook, Carpenter, Mali, Painter, Charge Mechanic, Washer Man, Welder, Electrician and Motor Pump Attendant). Industrial Training Institute trained personnel will be preferred.
• Matriculation or its equivalent from a recognised board for unskilled trades on or before closing date of receipt of online Application Form (i.e. Sweeper)

Interested Candidates Can Read the Full Notification Before Apply Online

The Selection Process for indian post includes the following Stages:

• The applicants will be shortlisted for engagement on the basis of a system-generated merit list.
• The Merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained/ conversion of Grades/Points to marks in the Secondary School Examination of 10th standard of approved Boards aggregated to percentage to the accuracy of 4 decimals.
• Passing all the subjects as per the respective approved board norms is mandatory.

-->How to Fill India Post GDS Online Form 2025

The Applicant will have to first register himself/herself on the GDS online Engagement Portal at the link www.indiapostgdsonline.gov.in details to obtain the Registration Number.

For registration on the Portal, the applicants must have their own active email id and mobile number.

All the important, including the declaration of the result of shortlisting, the offer of provisional engagement, etc. would be sent to the registered mobile number through SMS/ Email only.

A fee of Rs.100/- (Rupees one hundred only) is to be paid by the applicants for all posts notified in choice of Division. However, payment of fees is exempted for all female applicants, SC/ST applicants, PwD applicants, and Transwomen applicants.

An applicant can only apply one or more for vacant posts of GDS in only one of the selected divisions one or more.

The applicant is required to upload their Photo and signature in the specified size.

The selection of the shortlisted applicants will be purely on the basis of the marks/ data fed by an applicant at the time of submitting the final online application.
